GAP SUMMIT
GapSummit is Global Biotech Revolution's international and intergenerational leadership summit in biotechnology. At this immersive 3-day summit, 100 of the globe's top young Leaders of Tomorrow competitively selected from 40+ countries engage 30+ world-class speakers and leaders in the life sciences industry to take on the most pressing challenges and gaps in the bio-economy.
In 2017 and 2018, two members of the laboratory, Fidel Emmanuel Serrano and Aeiou Martija, represented the Philippines at the GapSummit held in Washington DC and Cambridge UK, respectively.
BIOCAMP
The Biocamp, otherwise known as the Novartis International Biotechnology Leadership Camp, ran for several years and was a three-day seminar held at the Novartis international headquarters in Basel, Switzerland. Local winners from top universities across the globe gather in Basel and interact with Novartis scientists involved in innovative and cutting-edge drug discovery, learn about breakthrough drugs and disruptive technologies, as well as participate in practical workshops about entrepreneurship and bringing science to market. Four members of the laboratory have won the local competition and represented the Philippines at the International Biocamp in Basel, Swizerland:
